I call these sketches “Digital Pastels” because they look like pastels, and the process for creating them is very similar to using chalk pastels on paper. I use them as templates for paintings.

The sketches are created on an iPad Pro 12.9” using Procreate and an Apple Pencil 2. Watch the demonstration below for an example of my typical process.
